Beyond the plan

Coaching for the week you actually have.

A useful plan gives every run a purpose. Ongoing coaching helps you make sense of the week, learn from it and choose what to do next.

01 / Your starting point

Start from where you are

Your current running, goal and available time shape the programme.

02 / Session purpose

Know why each run is there

Understand the role of easy runs, harder sessions, recovery and long runs.

03 / Weekly review

Look at the week that happened

Completed sessions and your feedback give us a useful picture of how training went.

04 / Coach feedback

Decide what needs to change

I’ll explain what I’m seeing and adjust the programme where it would help.

05 / Race preparation

Arrive with a race approach

Build pacing, race strategy and final preparation around your event and experience.

06 / Progression

See what is building over time

Review consistency and progress, then shape the next goal when you’re ready.

You belong here

Online coaching. Your running. Your goals.

Race Squad is standalone online coaching for runners who want individual guidance towards something that matters to them.

You don’t need to be fast

Coaching starts with the runner you are now and the goal you want to work towards.

You don’t need to be a club member

Existing members and non-members can choose the same coaching blocks at the same price. Club membership stays separate.

You don’t need Race Squad to run with us

Race Squad does not include club-run access. The club’s ordinary membership and sessions stand on their own.

The coaching, made clear

Every coaching block includes…

A personal programme and an ongoing coaching relationship, supported by the right tools.

A programme built around you

Your personalised Training Tilt programme reflects your current ability, available time and goals. We start with a goals and onboarding conversation.

A weekly coaching review

I review completed training and your feedback, check in with you, and adjust sessions when the next week calls for it.

Insight and accountability

We review consistency, training patterns and progression together. AI-assisted analysis can help bring useful patterns into view; I interpret them in context.

Race and pacing guidance

Work through pacing, race strategy and preparation specific to the event you’re building towards.

Technique and technology support

Video-based running-technique feedback and help using your watch or training app more effectively, as useful to your goals.

Technique feedback is arranged as needed; it is not a promise of recurring in-person appointments. Race Squad is online coaching and does not include club-run access or unlimited instant messaging.

The coaching loop

Train. Review. Adjust. Then move forward.

This is the difference between receiving a plan and having a coach guide what happens next.

  1. TRAIN
  2. REVIEW
  3. UNDERSTAND
  4. ADJUST
  5. PROGRESS

You complete the week. I look at what happened, what went well, what changed and how the training felt.

We use that picture to decide what deserves attention and adjust the programme when needed.

Next week reflects where you are now — not where an old plan assumed you would be.

Plans meet real life

A plan that survives real life.

Your training won’t always go to plan. Your coaching shouldn’t fall apart when it doesn’t.

A schedule can show an ideal sequence. Coaching helps you choose what matters when the sequence changes.

You miss some training

We reassess where you are and what is useful now. Missed sessions don’t simply get crammed back in.

You’re going away

We adapt around where you’ll be, how much time you have and what is realistic there.

Work gets busy

We identify the sessions that matter most, what can move and what can be dropped.

Family comes first

We shape the week around your commitments rather than pretending they aren’t there.

A key session or long run needs to move

We look at the best place for it and keep the rest of the week workable.

You’re returning after illness

We review the time away and your current training before deciding what to resume. You don’t just restart at the old point.

Make your kit work for you

Your watch should help you run better — not just record what happened.

The useful question is not how many metrics your watch shows. It’s which information helps you run the session in front of you.

I’ll help you make better use of the watch or app you already own. You don’t need to buy a particular brand for Race Squad.

↗

Understand current, average and lap pace — and which one fits the run.

◎

Use your watch to follow intervals, recovery and long-run pacing with more purpose.

✓

Choose useful data screens and alerts, including heart-rate information where it helps.

↻

Review what the session recorded and focus on the numbers that matter for that workout.

Read the pattern, not one number

Your watch collects the numbers. I’ll help work out what they mean.

Training information can show pace, consistency, completed sessions, workload, long-run development and how preparation is changing. One metric on its own never tells the whole story.

What you actually completed
How training fits your goal
What has changed week to week
Which patterns deserve a closer look
More insight. Human decisions.

Your training tells a story. AI helps me see more of it.

Each run adds another part of the picture. AI-assisted analysis helps me look across training information, bringing patterns and changes into view beyond any single session.

01 / Your training data

Runs, pace and progression

Completed sessions, consistency, workload and the direction your training is taking.

02 / AI-assisted analysis

Patterns worth exploring

AI helps surface trends and changes for review. It does not diagnose or decide what you should do.

03 / Your coaching

More information. Better decisions.

I bring in your goals, experience, feedback and real-life situation, then decide what should happen next.

Training data shows what happened. Your goals, feedback and real-life situation help me decide what happens next.

More insight. Better decisions. Still human coaching.

People, not promises

Different runners. Different goals.

Jack and Gabriele are describing earlier CRWC coaching experiences. Their stories are their own, not a promise of a particular result or a testimonial for this October offer.

Jack Strickland wearing his Cheltenham Running Club kit

Jack had wondered whether he would fit in. Describing his experience with CRWC, he said:

“It's just really inclusive. You don't feel out of place.”
Gabriele wearing his Cheltenham Running Club jacket and marathon medal in Paris

Gabriele describes moving from mostly solo running to planned sessions and a more deliberate approach to pacing and race preparation.

He talks about consistency and confidence, completing the Paris Marathon and wanting to keep progressing afterwards.

When describing how course knowledge changed his race approach, he said:

“But just knowing how is the track around, it changes the approach to any race.”

The technology supports the coach

Your plan has technology behind it. Your coach is still a person.

Training information and AI-assisted analysis can add detail to what I see. They don’t know your goals, how the week felt or what else is happening in your life.

I bring those pieces together, review your training and make the coaching decisions which guide your safe progress.

If your cancellation period is still running then, I’ll ask before starting coaching or onboarding early; your full paid block will be preserved. Instalments are fixed: the schedule stops after the second or third payment. The first collection is requested as soon as possible after mandate authorisation and may take several days; later collections are monthly.

Pay in full: a place is confirmed after successful payment is verified. Instalments: a valid mandate for the selected package reserves a place, subject to the first collection succeeding. An unresolved first-collection failure, genuine cancellation or authorised refund may release the place under the agreed process.

Good to know

Race Squad questions.

Is Race Squad club membership?

No. It is standalone online running coaching. Club membership and access to club runs are separate.

Do I need to be fast or a club member?

No. You can join as a member or non-member at the same coaching price. The programme starts from your current running and goals.

What happens if I miss training or get ill?

Tell me what has changed. We review where you are now and decide what makes sense next; missed sessions are not crammed into the plan.

Can the plan change if my goals change?

Yes. We can revisit the programme as your goals, availability and training change.

What happens in the weekly review?

I review completed training and your feedback, check in with you, and adjust upcoming sessions where needed. It is not a guaranteed weekly phone or video call.

What watch or app do I need?

You do not need a particular watch or Garmin. I can help you use the watch or app you already have more effectively.

Can workouts sync to my Garmin?

Training Tilt can send eligible structured workouts to a compatible Garmin calendar when the account has the required Training permission. I send them manually in Training Tilt; you then sync your watch. It is not an automatic sync.

Does AI make my coaching decisions?

No. AI-assisted analysis may help surface patterns for review. I combine that with your goals, experience and feedback, then decide what happens next. Before personal training or health information is processed through an additional AI provider, I’ll give you the relevant privacy information about that processing.

Is running-technique feedback included?

Video-based technique feedback can be arranged where useful. It does not mean recurring in-person sessions.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Choose the fixed GoCardless instalment plan for your coaching block. The first collection is requested as soon as possible after mandate authorisation and may take several days; later collections are monthly. It ends after the stated two or three payments, with no automatic continuation.

When does coaching start?

The coaching block is scheduled to start on 12 October 2026. If your cancellation period is still running, I’ll ask before starting coaching or onboarding early; your full paid block will be preserved.

Can I talk to Conor first?

Yes. The optional Runner Coach Call is for discussing whether Race Squad fits you. Booking it does not reserve a place.

Ready to talk it through?

Choose a coaching block, or book a short call if you’d like to talk it through with me first. A call does not reserve a place.

Privacy & data use

How Race Squad uses customer, payment and coaching information.

Who handles your information

The service is provided by STS FITNESS LIMITED (company number 08080878), trading as Cheltenham Running & Walking Club. Registered office: 40 Gotherington Lane, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 8GJ. Contact: conor@cheltenhamrunning.co.uk.

What we use and why

When you enquire or join, we use your name and contact details, chosen coaching block, payment status and provider reference to respond to you, verify your enrolment and provide the service. Stripe processes card payments; GoCardless processes Direct Debit instalments if you choose that route. They collect the payment details needed for their services, and we receive information such as your payment status and reference.

For coaching, we use the goals, running history, available training time, completed sessions and feedback that you provide. Training Tilt is used to deliver your programme and support coach review of training. If you connect a watch or another training service, the information shared depends on that service and the permissions you choose.

We use these details to take steps you request before joining, perform the coaching contract, administer your enrolment and meet legal accounting requirements. Please do not include health or injury details in a page enquiry or payment. If relevant health information is needed for coaching, we will explain how it will be used and obtain any required choice before collecting it.

AI-assisted analysis

Race Squad may use AI-assisted tools to help analyse training information and identify patterns that may be useful in coaching. Conor reviews the information and remains responsible for coaching decisions. No coaching decision is made solely by AI.

Before personal coaching or training information is processed through any additional AI provider, we will give you the relevant privacy information about that processing.

How long we keep information

We keep contact and coaching information while it is needed to provide and manage your coaching and deal with related queries. We review it when the coaching block ends and delete it when it is no longer needed, unless a record must be kept for a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Our current CRWC retention schedule keeps financial and transaction records for six years.

Race Squad terms

The coaching service, payment options and how places are confirmed.

What Race Squad is

STS Fitness Ltd sells Race Squad: fixed-duration personalised online running coaching. It is separate from Cheltenham Running Club membership and does not include club membership or access to club runs. Existing club members and non-members pay the same coaching prices.

What each block includes

  • A personalised Training Tilt programme shaped around your current ability, available time and goals.
  • An initial goals and onboarding conversation, followed by a weekly coaching review of completed training and your feedback.
  • Programme adjustments as training, progress and real-life circumstances change.
  • Review of training patterns, accountability and progression check-ins.
  • Pacing guidance, race strategy and preparation for the goal you are working towards.
  • Video-based running-technique feedback where useful, and help using your running watch or training technology more effectively.

A weekly review is not a fixed-length weekly call or unlimited instant messaging. Local in-person technique feedback is not a recurring inclusion. No race result or performance outcome is guaranteed.

Block length and start

Choose a 3, 6, 9 or 12-month coaching block. Every block in this intake is scheduled to start on 12 October 2026. Goals conversations, setup or programme preparation before that date do not shorten your paid coaching term. If your cancellation period is still running then, coaching or onboarding will begin early only if you have expressly asked for that.

Prices and payment options

Coaching blockPay in fullFinite instalments
3 months£197 once2 × £98.50
6 months£347 once2 × £173.50
9 months£477 once3 × £159
12 months£597 once3 × £199

These are the total amounts payable for the chosen block. STS Fitness Ltd does not collect VAT. Pay-in-full is one payment through Stripe. GoCardless instalments are finite monthly Direct Debit plans with no automatic renewal. The first collection is scheduled as soon as possible after mandate authorisation and may take several days; later collections are monthly. The number and amount of collections are shown above.

These intake prices apply when you complete the required joining action by 12 October 2026: a verified successful pay-in-full payment, or authorisation of the correct finite GoCardless plan.

Joining and places

The intake is limited to ten new Race Squad runners in total, shared between online and phone-assisted joins. The page does not show a live remaining-place count. A visit, button click, checkout start or optional information call does not reserve a place.

  • Pay in full: a place is confirmed after the successful payment and package are verified.
  • GoCardless: a place is reserved after successful authorisation of the correct finite Race Squad mandate, subject to the first scheduled collection succeeding.

Places are managed manually across both routes. A genuinely cancelled or refunded enrolment, or an unresolved failed mandate or payment, may release a place after its status has been checked. A checkout visit or failed checkout does not allocate a place.

For GoCardless, authorising a mandate is not the same as a collected payment. A place is reserved after the correct finite plan is authorised, subject to the first scheduled collection succeeding. If a mandate or payment fails, its status is checked; an unresolved failure may mean the joining conditions are no longer met and the place is released.

Joining confirmation

After you complete the joining steps, STS Fitness Ltd checks the selected package, the payment or mandate condition and current place availability. We then confirm your enrolment by email; that durable confirmation records the contract date, chosen block and payment schedule.

Your 14-day cancellation right

If you are a consumer joining online, you may cancel the service contract within 14 days after the day the contract is made, without giving a reason. Your joining confirmation email will state the contract date. To cancel, send a clear statement by email to conor@cheltenhamrunning.co.uk or write to STS Fitness Ltd at 40 Gotherington Lane, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 8GJ. You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to.

We will reimburse payments due following cancellation without undue delay and within 14 days after we are told. If you expressly ask us to begin coaching or onboarding during the 14-day period and then cancel after the service has started, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to cancellation. We will return any remaining amount in line with your statutory rights. Joining or paying does not itself waive your cancellation right.

Requesting an early start

Your coaching block is scheduled to start on 12 October 2026. If your 14-day cancellation period will still be running when coaching or onboarding is due to start, we will ask you by email whether you expressly request an early start. Replying to that email records your request. We will not begin coaching or onboarding during that period unless you make that express request. If you do not request an early start, we will wait until your cancellation period ends and confirm your coaching dates in writing so the full chosen coaching duration is provided.
